Is FoxFaith a Studio we can Believe in?
As an avid consumer of Catholic and Christian media, I'm excited to see the turn FoxFaith has made towards quality Christian movies. And from everything I'm reading, it seems to be a serious attempt by a major movie studio to target the Christian market - finally (they are the first).
FoxFaith's first major release is Love's Abiding Joy, which is getting some serious ad dollars behind it. Personally, I'll try to see it with my wife just to support the attempt. The movie looks pretty good as well. And right behind it is One Night with the King, which tells the story of Esther from the Bible.
Consider replacing a violence- or language-soaked film with one of these Christian oriented movies. I think we could all use some more great cinema (remember The Scarlet and the Black?)! And get the word out to others: this attempt by Fox willl be followed by other studios if it is successful. We constantly talk about the culture of our nation - Christian cinema is a great way to influence culture over time.
God bless,
Jay
