DePaul University? Can they call themselves "Catholic"?
A professor's job, in my opinion, is to engage students. DePaul University has decided that in engaging students you cannot offend any Muslims. They fired a professor for refusing to give in to Islamic bias against Jews.
Apparently Thomas Klocek didn't understand that in order to teach at DePaul you can't suggest the Jews aren't Nazi's or that the Palestinians might be wrong. Apparently the worst think Professor Klocek did was quote a Muslim reporter who stated, "It is a certain fact that not all Muslims are terrorists, but it is equally certain, and exceptionally painful, that almost all terrorists are Muslims." Ummm. I hate to tell the Dean of DePaul, but that statement looks an awful lot like the truth. Should someone be fired for this?
National Review Online has created a petition to have Professor Klocek rehired. Consider signing it and telling others about this.
God bless,
Jay
