Book Review: Amazing Grace for Married Couples
Think you have marriage problems? This fascinating read might open your eyes. The book is Amazing Grace for Married Couples by Jeff Cavins, Matthew Pinto, and Patti Armstrong β three excellent Catholic authors. In essence, this book contains 12 stories of marriages that were restored despite unbelievable odds. The book is inspiring and really gets across the power God has to restore our relationships despite the odds. In fact, my wife and I liked it so much we gave it away to family members who were going through tough times in their marriage.
I think most married men and women will see a bit of themselves in some of the stories. They cross a broad spectrum of issues dealing with adultery, homosexuality, selfishness and much more. And the stories end by telling the story of how these marriages are coping today, which is typically long after the events of the story unfolded. In one story both the husband and wife divorced and remarried before coming back to one another in a miraculous way.
Not only is the book very readable and enjoyable, itβs inspiring and gives you some insight into how these families recovered their love and happiness. It focuses particularly on prayer and the Eucharist, but offers information on other Catholic organizations that help families during tough times. I would recommend this for any married couple, but especially those going through difficult times in their relationship. God, as this book shows, can move mountains to save your marriage.

God bless,
