The First Catholic Carnival

FunkyDung suggested in St. Blog's Parish Hall that someone start a Catholic Carnival similar to the Christian Carnival that goes out every week. I thought that was an excellent idea, so I jumped in and offered to get it started.

Basically the carnival will be a roundup of Catholic posts from the last seven days. You submit your favorite post (along with the info below) and you'll be included (as long as the post subject is of a Catholic nature). It's a great way to find new readers. I also ask that you consider hosting the Catholic Carnival one week on your blog - it's work, but rewarding work. ;-)

Those that would like to participate, email the following to jay@LivingCatholicism.com:

Site Name
Site URL
Post Name (posted between 10/19 and 10/25)
Post URL (Permalink)
Post description

Please get it to me by 10 PM EST on Monday evening - I'll post the Carnival on Tuesday. I'll send out an email with a link when the Carnival is up. Let your friends know as well.

God bless,
Jay

New Carnivals are popping up like weeds. The initial edition of The Skeptics' Circle appears, appropriately enough, on February 3rd, Groundhog Day. There's also the Catholic Carnival, the Carnival of Bad History, and the Carnival of the Balkans. Thanks... [Read More]

Very cool. :)

Once I get back into the swing of blogging (I got married on Saturday and have been rather busy), I'll be happy to contribute. :)

I just wanted to ask a question, please do not take as disrespect in anyway. But,if you are offended, maybe it's because you know it's wrong! The question is, why do you have people believe that a stigmata is a sign from God? Also, do you really believe that our divine Mary is going to send three messages to children, one being hounds from hell? What is wrong with your teachings?Pretty sick if you ask most people think about it, your notorious for demonic type actions quit telling people your evil lies it's sick!!No it's not God!!!!!

I also would like to know how your faith and teachings are so abided, I am catholic, but I can't for the life of me understand the twisted demonic rituals you consider holy, did you bump your head? And the priests, shame on you thats filthy I had so much faith in you thanks!!!!!

Anonymous,
I'm sorry you feel that way. I would point out that the Roman Catholic Church was setup by Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:18 and Jesus promised that it would never fail. He guaranteed it and we follow it.

If you want more explanation, please take a look at Deo Omnis Gloria, which is our apologetics blog. It shows repeatedly that the Catholic Church is the only Church that follows the Bible.

God bless,
Jay
